8-Bit Heroes (Demo)

8-Bit Heroes is a top-down action RPG that is a celebration of top-down games from the 8-bit eras of gaming; mainly the NES era. Inspirations include The Legend of Zelda (NES), Fire Emblem (NES), Dragon Quest (NES), and Ys I and II (PC8801 / NES).

Adventure as both the squire: an expert in melee combat, and the princess: a wielder of fey magic, swapping between them as-needed, as they set out to save their kingdom from the White Dragon and his army of monsters and warlords.

This free demo covers the opening section of the game. In addition, the demo's map includes a secret area that will be elsewhere in the game world in the finished game; find the hidden area and defeat its boss to obtain a powerful in-game spell.
